Immunohistochemical identification of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone Receptor in breast carcinoma.
GHRHR (IHC-grade), GHRH Receptor Antibody
The GHRH receptor antibody is directed against the distal end of the carboxyl-terminal tail of human Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone Receptor. It detects the canonical form of GHRHR as well as the amino-terminal splice variant SV1. It...

GHRHR is the specific receptor for growth hormone-releasing hormone that is released from neurosecretory cells in the arcuate nuclei of the hypothalamus. Overproduction of GHRH in human tumors leads to acromegaly. GHRHR is predominantly expressed is the anterior pituitary but also in other organs including placenta, kidney and hypothalamus. An amino-terminal splice variant SV1 of GHRHR has been proposed to account for the majority of tumoural GHRH receptors which have been detected in breast, ovarian and prostate carcinomas.
