Immuno-Grade VIP Receptor 2 Antibody
VPAC2 is a receptor for VIP, PACAP-27 and PACAP-38. VPAC2 activity is mediated by Gs proteins. VPAC2 receptors are abundant in lymphocytes present in spleen, tonsils, lymph nodes and Peyer’s patches, chief cells of gastric mucosa, exocrine and endocrine pancreas, kidney tubules and blood vessels. In the central nervous system, VPAC2 is abundant in the suprachiasmatic nuclei where it regulates the normal rhythmic activity of the circadian clock. In addition, VPAC2 was observed in thyroid, gastric and lung carcinomas, pancreatic adenocarcinomas, sarcomas and neuroendocrine tumors.
