P2Y14

The human P2Y4 receptor is activated by uridine nucleotidic triphosphates (not diphosphates) and is considered to be a pyrimidinoceptor. ATP is a partial agonist at the human P2Y4 receptor. P2Y4 receptor desensitization, β-arrestin recruitment and internalization are regulated by phosphorylation of carboxyl-terminal serine339 (pS339-P2Y4), serine344/serine345 (pS344/pS345-P2Y4) and threonine351 (pT351-P2Y4). S339, S344/pS345 and T351 can also be phosphorylated by PKC. This nomenclature refers to the human P2Y4. For more information on P2Y4 pharmacology please refer to the IUPHAR database.
