Serine435/Serine436 (S435/S436) is major phosphorylation site of the Endothelin Receptor B (ETB). The pS435/pS436-ETB antibody detects phosphorylation in response to agonists. S435/S436 phosphorylation is likely to be involved in efficient ligand sequestration by ETB.

Figure 1. Agonist-induced Serine435/Serine436 phosphorylation of the Endothelin Receptor B. Upper panel, HEK293 cells stably expressing the Endothelin receptor B (ETB) were either not exposed or exposed to 100 nM Endothelin 1 for 30 minutes. Cells were lysed and immunoblotted with the anti-pS435/pS436-ETB antibody (7TM0220A) at a dilution of 1:1000. Lower panel, blot was stripped and reprobed with an phosphorylation-independent anti-ETB antibody to confirm equal loading of the gel.
