Serine493/Serine495 (S493/S495) is major phosphorylation site of the Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 1 (PTH1). The pS493/pS495-PTH1 antibody detects phosphorylation in response to agonists. S493/S495 phosphorylation is likely to be involved in efficient ligand sequestration by PTH1.

Figure 1. Agonist-induced Serine493/Serine495 phosphorylation of the Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 1. Upper panel, HEK293 cells stably expressing the Prathyroid Hormone receptor 1 (PTH1) were either not exposed or exposed to 100 nM PTH for 30 minutes. Cells were lysed and immunoblotted with the anti-pS493/pS495-PTH1 antibody (7TM0331A) at a dilution of 1:1000. Lower panel, blot was stripped and reprobed with the phosphorylation-independent anti-PTH1 antibody (7TM0331N) to confirm equal loading of the gel.
