Serine716/Threonine717 (S716/T717) is major phosphorylation site of the Thyrotropin Receptor (TSHR). The pS716/pT717-TSHR antibody detects phosphorylation in response to agonists. S716/T717 phosphorylation is likely to be involved in efficient ligand sequestration by TSHR.

Figure 1. Agonist-induced Serine716/Threonine717 phosphorylation of the Thyrotropin Receptor. Upper panel, HEK293 cells stably expressing the Thyrotropin receptor (TSHR) were either not exposed or exposed to 100 nM TSH for 30 minutes. Cells were lysed and immunoblotted with the anti-pS716/pT717-TSHR antibody (7TM0255A) at a dilution of 1:1000. Lower panel, blot was stripped and reprobed with an phosphorylation-independent anti-TSHR antibody to confirm equal loading of the gel.
