Serine398/Serine399 (S398/S399) is major phosphorylation site of the Tachykinin Receptor 3 (NK3). The pS398/pS399-NK3 antibody detects phosphorylation in response to agonists. S398/S399 phosphorylation is likely to be involved in efficient ligand sequestration by NK3.

Figure 1. Agonist-induced Serine398/Serine399 phosphorylation of the NK 3 Receptor. Upper panel, HEK293 cells stably expressing the NK3-Receptor (NK3) were either not exposed or exposed to 1 µM of specific NK3-Receptor agonist Neurokinin B for 30 minutes. Cells were lysed and immunoblotted with the anti-pS398/pS399-NK3 antibody (7TM0362B) at a dilution of 1:1000. Lower panel, blot was stripped and reprobed with an phosphorylation-independent anti-NK3 antibody to confirm equal loading of the gel.
