Threonine402/Threonine404 (T402/T404) is a major phosphorylation site of the NK3 receptor. The pT402/pT404-NK3 antibody detects phosphorylation in response to high-efficacy agonists. T402/T404 phosphorylation is a key regulator of NK3 desensitization, β-arrestin recruitment and internalization.

Figure 1. Agonist-induced Threonine402/Threonine404 phosphorylation of the NK 3 Receptor. Upper panel, HEK293 cells stably expressing the NK3-Receptor (NK3) were either not exposed or exposed to 1 µM of specific NK3-Receptor agonist Neurokinin B for 30 minutes. Cells were lysed and immunoblotted with the anti-pT402/pT404-NK3 antibody (7TM0362C) at a dilution of 1:1000. Lower panel, blot was stripped and reprobed with an phosphorylation-independent anti-NK3 antibody to confirm equal loading of the gel.
