Serine450/Serine452 (S450/S452) is major phosphorylation site of the PACAP Receptor 1 (PAC1). The pS450/pS452-PAC1 antibody detects phosphorylation in response to agonists. S450/S452 phosphorylation is likely to be involved in efficient ligand sequestration by PAC1.

Figure 1. Agonist-induced Serine450/Serine452 phosphorylation of the PACAP Receptor 1. Upper panel, HEK293 cells stably expressing the PACAP receptor 1 (PAC1) were either not exposed or exposed to 100 nM PACAP for 30 minutes. Cells were lysed and immunoblotted with the anti-pS450/pS452-PAC1 antibody (7TM0370C) at a dilution of 1:1000. Lower panel, blot was stripped and reprobed with the phosphorylation-independent anti-PAC1 antibody (7TM0370N) to confirm equal loading of the gel.
